Sugar Cosmetics Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick 28 Trusty Rusty Review

Sugar Cosmetics liquid lipsticks are pretty raved about and they launched 20 shades in the last two years in this range. This year, they launched ten more and I had to give them a try. For now, I have picked two shades- Aubergine Queen and Trusty Rusty. Thus, this review is all about the shade “Trust Rusty”.

I think the price is very reasonable when compared to other liquid lipstick variants available in the market, may be they offer more in quantity. But then again, I love smaller variants when it comes to makeup products. Firstly, you can check and see if you like the product and color. Secondly, you can actually use it up before it expires.

My Experience with Sugar Cosmetics Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick 28 Trusty Rusty:

Packaging: This lipstick comes in the usual Sugar packaging – the lipstick tube comes inside a funky, colorful paper carton. I love the unique packaging of this product. While most liquid lipsticks come in long, tube packaging, this is a small tube that has square edges. The product is in a clear tube. The matte black cap has the applicator attached to it which helps with precise application; however, if you do not have a defined lip line (that is my problem and I am not an expert with drawing), you should use a lip liner first. The tiny product can be easily carried in your purse and is definitely cute.
Shade: The shade is described as “When you do the classics, you gotta do it right. Dress your pout in this show-stopping shade of red with Trusty Rusty – a uniquely familiar rust red that makes a statement in itself.” I think the color looks like a deep orangish red on most skin tone. However on me, it is more of a rusty, burnt red shade with a hint of red. Most orange shades look pale and washed out on me. This is definitely the kind of red that will suit medium tanned to dusky beauties. It will actually look good on everyone, but the shade varies according to skin tone. It is a warm, brightening shade with a perfect festive vibe.
